IPER Alumni Insight: Contribution in Curriculum Enrichment

Involving alumni in the curriculum development process creates a mutually beneficial relationship. Our alumni, by sharing their expertise contribute to the growth and success of the institute, while the institute can get benefited from their real-life experiences and industry insights to enhance the quality and relevance of its curriculum.

As an institution with more than two decades of experience, IPER avowals an impressive alumni network across the globe. Alumni have always been a close part of the Institute, even if it was an informally established relationship, and have always supported and contributed to the Institute’s endeavors to produce industry-ready management professionals.

With the aim of enriching the curriculum, the institute always look towards its alumni; our alumni are continuously involved in reviewing the existing curriculum and providing feedback on its effectiveness. Their perspectives as successful graduates can highlight areas where improvements can be made or identify emerging areas of study that should be included. The alumni offer insights into the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and skills in demand.

The alumni as integral part of curriculum development committee members were invited for this academic session 2023-24 curriculum review and recommendation meeting. The focused three domains were Marketing, Finance & Human Resource.

For the Marketing Domain 3 Alumni- Mr. Takkal Chaturvedi (Batch- 2006-08; General Manager-Sales & Operations, Tata Classedge); Mr. Anshul Sharma (Batch- 2006-08; Business Head, Davis Furniture Systems Pvt .Ltd.) & Mr. Pravesh Sharma (Batch- 2013-15; Area Manager, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd.) were invited and 3 Marketing Faculty- Dr. Ashish Ghosh, Dr. Arjun Murti & Prof. Rahul Kumar Choubey attended the meeting.

For Finance Domain 3 Alumni- Mr. Anshul Kushwaha (Batch- 2006-08; Manager, Nippon India Mutual Fund); Mr. Syed Taha Ahmed (Batch 2006-08; Manager IDBI Bank, Bhopal) & Ms. Shikha Malhotra (Batch- 2010-12; Asst. Professor, The Bhopal School of Social Sciences) were invited and 3 finance faculty- Dr. Anupriya Srivastava, Prof. Yashveer Singh Gurjar and Prof Sunil Lalwani attended the meeting.

And, for Human Resource Management Mr Shailesh Patel (Batch- 2009-11; Project Sales Officer, Asian Paints Ltd) and Mr. Musta Ali (Batch- 2005-07; Regional Head, Methodex Systems Pvt. Ltd.) were invited.

Three domain specific meetings were held on different dates. The respective faculties and alumni together reviewed the existing curriculum, and after the thorough discussion they suggested many changes and integration of new evaluation techniques and trending new areas of academic focus.

Under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vaibhav Lowalekar, Chairman MBA Academics the suggested changes in the curriculum were planned to be incorporated with a aim to be updated enough to align with current industry requirements. We are grateful to our alumni for their immense contribution for the continuous betterment and enrichment of IPER’s curriculum.
